What we email you, and how to stop it
Service email and marketing email are different things.
On this page
Two separate kinds, with different rules.
Service email
About your account: a support reply, an invitation, a failed payment, a password reset. These are sent because you hold an account and something happened that you need to know about. They are not marketing and there is no unsubscribe link on them — turning them off would mean not being told your card had declined.
Announcements and blog posts
Optional, and only after you have confirmed the address by clicking a link we send you. Anyone can type somebody else's address into a signup form, so nothing is sent to an address until its owner has said yes from their own inbox.
Changing what you get
Every announcement and blog email carries a link to your preferences, where you can take one topic and leave the other, and a one-click unsubscribe.
Unsubscribing means everything
An address that unsubscribes is added to a suppression list that every send is checked against — including announcements to customers who never used the signup form. One "no" covers all of it.
